Hello BHNC Members
Several of you have passed on information about JP Giacomini to me as a suggestion that it may be something we are interested in as a group. I agree! For those of you that aren't familiar with who he is, I've included a bio attached to this email. He claimed in a conversation yesterday that he was one of the first to coin the phrase "baroque horses" so he's thrilled we may be interested. He is starting interdisciplinary horsemanship competitions he's calling TM classes. They include basic to advanced feats of horsemanship that you can execute in the tack and riding style of your choice. I've also attached a "frequently asked questions" document about these classes. I'm interested, and think maybe we could have a lot of fun doing this, but I'm not quite ready to jump in with both feet yet. Which is why I'm thinking about auditing a clinic he's giving in Grass Valley in April on the 23rd-25th. I'll forward you a flier to that in my next email. I'll see him in action and go from there. Anyone want to come? Auditing is $30 a day, but if I have a group coming from the BHNC, I might be able to negotiate a group rate for us.He also said he was hoping to unite different groups of "baroque horses" and make a more organized plan for us. Hooray! We could be part of something bigger!Let me know your feelings about JP Giacomini, about the clinic, and about the club potentially getting involved as a club instead of just us as individuals. We'll go from there! Jen
